The Joe Garassino Foundation would like to extend our utmost thanks to the local community for coming out this past week for the 4th Annual Joe Garassino Golf Outing. Because of you, the tournament was a huge success and we are able to continue to help those battling cancer in our community. We know that your time is valuable and we are honored that you chose to spend your day with the Foundation.
Below please find a few memories of the day. Some notable highlights from the day include:
- Honoring five local individuals with cancer, Jennifer DeMuro, Kim Mix, Jacob Poulin, Zander White, and Paul Decarolis, and helping them on their journey with a $2.500 monetary donation as well as a special quilt from “Quilts that Care” (www.quiltsthatcare.org). “Quilts that Care” are made by local Connecticut volunteers to wrap patients in hope and care as they battle their disease.
- Local dignitaries who came out to support our Foundation, which included Mayor Neil O’Leary, State Senator Rob Kane, State Representative Eric Berthel, and Watertown Town Councilman Tom Winn.
As always, we want to thank our amazing volunteers and thank all of our sponsors, golfers and foundation supporters for making the event so successful. The generosity of our community is overwhelming and we thank you from the bottom of our heart.
Mike Garasssino, Foundation President
